When in live-record mode, chromatic playing isn’t possible for some reason. This is only for my midi tracks A-H. Works fine on internal tracks. Is it possible I need to tweak a midi setting in a config menu somewhere?
There’s a Receive Notes in MIDI CONFIG > PORT CONFIG assuming that you play from an external keyboard.
No, just trying to play chromatically from the digitakt over midi in live-record mode. I can use the lighted digitakt keys to play chromatically over midi while not recording, but as soon as I press the record button the lighted keyboard disappears and button presses return to trig entry.
Hold down Record button and press Play Button (this is the Live recording Mode). This way you’ll have the Keys lighted and you can record your playing. Otherwise, if you only press the Record button you will be in Grid recording Mode.

Doesn’t work for midi tracks for some reason. Pressing record cancels chromatic playing.
