I am wondering if it is possible to record a midi part using an external keyboard set up on the same Midi channel as I am recording to? I did try the key combo of Hold Rec and pressing play but no joy.
It is possible.
You need the keyboard midi in to OT, obviously. Make sure the keyboard is transmitting the channel you want to record to. I can’t remember about the auto-channel though. You should see a midi receive pixel on the screen of the OT when you press a key. Also the OT has to midi out to the keyboard, assuming it has a sound generator.
