when i jam and record daw-less, the stuff i do often sounds pretty crappy.
Then I take the recording and rework it in abletob and do some equalizing and ‘mastering’. The result is then usually a lot better.
Wouldn’t it be possible to integrate an ipad (or a computer) with a kind of “live mastering chain” for live sets, with some of the tools I usually use in postproduction?
Is this common? do some artists do this ? If so, what plugins would you use?
doesn’t stimming do this somehow with his instant mastering chain and can’t you replicate that in software?
I know it’s technically possible, but my question aims more towards the direction “is it common and a good idea to do so”
This is not meant to be a discussion about the fact that this is no longer dawless - that’s clear to me
thnx!
