a little live jam on just the MDUW:
Nice Stuart, the MD is still the shizzle! Really like those stabs, sound wicked & love how they regenerate at the end.
Care to share which machines you’re using on this?
Here’s the rundown:
Kick is EFM-BD with full Q on a bit of hi-pass (FLTF = 29) and some mid frequencies taken out with EQF = 49.
The rest of percussion is all from tweaked E12 machines, including the fat toms.
The “stab” or rattling sound that gets longer and longer is an E12-RS machine with fast retriggering and decay turned slowly up.
The bass sound is a TRX-B2 with no ramp and lots of distortion.
The lead / arp is a single cycle saw wave from a ROM machine.
And some “old” stuff, still like that one:
Great job -Stuartm - hihats are amazing , all hihats are made with internal machines?
Really enjoyed Stapellauf! MD only? Very impressive!
Great work man
I’ll chime in and say I also really enjoyed these jams. Very nice MD-work.
Digging all of these. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for all your comments, really appreciated !
Now I have to do more, I think
Yes, all these are MD (UW) only.
Hi Hats or High Percussion are all MD machines:
EFM-RS (tweaked and high-pass filtered)
I just listened to Knekta - and really enjoyed it, very hipnotic.
More MDUW noises
The wobbling, high synth sound on this one is the EFM-HH machine.
VERY well done!
great job! … very clean… super rytmic … good variation, towards the end with the short elekktro stab very well thoght out … good use of reverb and feedback … VERY CLEAN ! … man really thought through setting… good tone, nice noises, good tuned. … this is a solid piece of MD, a solid production, very very impressive (coming from a former MD owner) … I applaude you!
@TrabanT: thanks for your detailed feedback, much appreciated !
continuing to enjoy these … had this SC playlist on this morning, great way to experience the series.
Been a long time …
Last night the Machinedrum invited some friends for a jam:
Novation Drumstation samples (kick, ride)
Moog Slim Phatty (bass)
Clavia Nord Rack 2x (Chords)
Some synth FX via Lexicon MX200
All sequenced and controlled from the MDUW
