Linear or Random Trigs do not appear during slicing

Ok so fairly new with OT but had Digitakt, so I am sure there is some odd menu to sort this out.
So, When i slice a sample, say, to 16 slices, and set “Create Linear Locks” or “Create Random Locks”, no trigs appear in my sequence. Shouldn’t it place 16 trigs on that track each triggering consecutive (or random) slice?
Please help.

I remember bumping into it when i started with the OT.

You have to first place trigs yourself then create a grid. At this point when the slices are created, you can attribute regular or random locks.
The term « create […] locks » is pretty wrong, they could have chosen « attribute » or something else.

Thanks, yes , concept is wrong, utterly.
However, I am still experiencing an issue. I set 16 trigs on a 16 length track grid and create linear locks. I can see trigs flashing, but all 16 trigs trigger slice 1. How do i change this, so 16 slices play in consecutive order (bar doing it manually)?

Did you create a Slice Grid before?
Are trigs plocked correctly with right slice numbers?
Scene locked to 1?

It creates locks on existing trigs, so it seems logical to me.
