Yea man, that’s where the photoshop comes in.

In a world of deepfakes I find it ALARMING what people find difficult to photoshop.

which seems like an inconsistency doesn’t it? I mean I can see a lot of people using the 3 Digi’s side by side. That difference in the logo size would be an eye sore…

That’s what the press embargo is for, to keep it a secret. If it was truly a secret launch we wouldn’t have heard all the artists using the box this morning

I’m photographer so don’t find it difficult at all! I have created entire parts of photos out of nothing with credible results. Just pointing out this detail as something that could indicate it’s not, at least, a lazy fake.

Your fervent skepticism is alarming. It’s wild to assume a retailer would take the time to mock that up.

LOL ! I would really love that actually !

I imagine someone making a fake to upload to their local music store website (for whatever reason) wouldn’t bother to resize logos or pay attention to amperage on the DC input if they’re just out to make a ‘good enough’ fake to troll a forum for a day or two.

I hope this isn’t real because I won"t understand why not to put a pair of assignable outs on a drum machine

Also, if the release is inminent, is not so strange to provide retailers with product pictures a couple of days in advance, isn’t it?

So let’s say this awesome photo is real, 8 digital drum tracks, 4 analog synth tracks, 4 midi. What are the modifiers? How will the analog synths work? Is this like an A4 in a machinedrum?

I hope this is real

It hilarious how when companies have new products there’s always one shop that accidentally uploads an image

because maybe it’s conceived more like a all in one. They can always argue you have Overbridge to get individual outs.

No, you can’t Photoshop it this convinicingly. Maybe you could, but it would take a lot of time and effort, and money. At this point, it’s easier to fabricate a render. The original pic is 2048 by 2048 px resolution and everything looks pixel perfect. The other angle fully replicates the front shot in perspective.

If it’s trolling, then man this is next level. Even these Chinese iphone “leaks” don’t look that good.

It’s at least photoshopped in some way, because in the picture where you can see the ins and the outs, you can also see some trigs that are lit, although the device is not powered.

It’s wild to believe that a Canadian local synth shop accidentally posts this photo of an unreleased flagship device under the wrong listing (SP404) in their online shop, some dude posts that image on Reddit, it gets taken down, and a while later the guy reposts the same image onto Reddit.

Not saying its fake, but at this point it’s as likely fake as it is real.

Also don’t forget, according to the Thomann (EDIT: this one) screenshot, we’re looking at a Wavetable VST, posted by one of our very own.

Well one of them (at least) won’t hold up.

Thomann screenshot?

I can just see an employee showing a new trainee “ok so this our content management system. basically it pulls data from these folders so all we need to do is drag in this image. here I’ll show u with this one” (doesn’t realise their manager dragged in the new stock pics including Syntakt pics last night) oh hey look, there’s a Racoon at the window!

User error on a site update makes more sense than the elaborate render imo. But to each their own.

That kinda shop (providing it’s a shop) is easy. And it doesn’t take a lot of money. A bit of time yes. But $50 a month for cloud is $50. It doesn’t go up if you use it more

I’ll just say: if it’s in fact a 8 digital, 4 analog synth on a digi body… be prepared to the compromises it will carry… it can’t possibly be as depth as a Digitone or an A4/R, let’s hold our expectations…
