Lend us your ears

Hmm, let’s check moog audio… love this thread! Egg hunt

The only thing that’s baffling me is how can one make such a stupid mistake. I feel sorry for that employee who put this. Or maybe it was on purpose?

If fake they thought of the fact that it would require more power (just as the analog boxes), 12VDC 2A vs 1A on DT/DN.

not found, so I’ll take as he’s playing with us :stuck_out_tongue:

Out of the two options:

  1. Small retailer creates photoshop to generate publicity
  2. Elektron bungles secret launch by sending photos of their unreleased products to retailers before they need them

I’d pick option 1. All of these ‘I found it on a shop early guys’ leaks are always fake - because retailers don’t need to prepare product listings in advance, especially small local retailers that probably won’t have any stock any way.

Yeah, I noticed that too.

By the way, these pictures are now taken down. I managed to save them though.

Are they taken off the shops website or just reddit?

But that’s not photoshop. It’s a proper render based on a CAD file, I guarantee. That takes some effort and money.

I feel like it’s real. There’s enough difference there and it’s not sloppy or ill thought out. It’s also not a radical departure UI wise

The shop put up the photos under a different product, but yes they’re gone now

Not sure what gives you that confidence, but I’m a digital artist and there’s nothihg about that image that would require rendering and couldn’t be done in photoshop in 30 minutes by someone that knows what they’re doing. They didn’t even bother to add an extra button!

Happy to be proven wrong - but this is as good as a bigfoot photo in proving anything to me personally.

There’s another pic from a different angle. I am a designer myself and previously I worked exclusively with 3D renders.

You mean the one that just has the regraded buttons and the new logo added? That would take 5 minutes.

If anyone knows what typeface Elektron use let me know and I’ll mock one up with the features you want

Every music company (or most of them, anyway) sends out photos of their products early so retailers can list them as soon as the press embargo lifts, even if it’s for preorders.

No, man. The whole device from the back, exposing the ports.

They use Helvetica Neue, lol.

You mean the back that is identical to the other two Digi’s?

what’s seems odd to me is why remove the note input/arp button on a synthesizer…

Not completely, Elektron label and Syntalt logo are smaller than on other devices

Not if they’re planning a secret launch. It’s totally unneccessary.

Especially small local retailers that won’t have automated remarketing.
