Left button broke?

hi there …

when I touch the left botton on my OT the slightes … the VERY slightest the screen selection moves towards the left …

choosing samples in sample menu keeps bringing me back to the very left folder, or to the flex static pickup machine menu …

noooooo!

hope is will regulate itself till tomorrow … sigh ,

i started a thread couple of weeks ago if anybody had experience with Thomann Germany and Warranty if you bought something second hand …

maybe I will find out soon for myself …

or should I take the cover plate off and have a look inside? , i am useless when it comes to mixing craftsmanship and electronics …

anybody have friends at customer service at thomann?

she is still under warranty / guarantee for a few months

Opening the case voids the warranty as far as I know.
…a long shot but have you tried a factory reset?
Maybe send Elektron Support an email?

factory setting? seems the problem is of mechanical nature … but hey, I give it a try … have a nice day nakedbob

Sounds like a mechanical button failure. Happened to my function button 3 days ago. Had to open up the machine and put the switch back together (spring, ball bearing - quite tricky) and superglue the switch casing together. If you still have warranty get it done official.

reset didnt do anything … made a vid and contacted elektron … waiting for their response … no excuse for letting me wait due to rytm launch or AK stress or holidays .,…

@duncan … i shall never try to put my hands on any electronic repairs … i just suck at this tremendously :wink: … sounds extremely difficult from all these words …thanks though

little update on my life *g

knowing I may have to send the OT in eventually I went online to have a look, just in case there is a good offer (even though I own MD A4 OT MM)

and I found a OT cheaper than the one I bought second hand few weeks ago (which still had warranty) … and decided to buy it … now I have 2 OTs in my place, and when I have to send the 1 in, there will be another one waiting :wink:

I love money, and Elektron gear!
