Gracias for the thread! Looking forward to hearing what Elektronauts from Latin America cook in here. My contribution to the thread would be this, which is the only thing I’ve done that I can think of that could be categorized as having Latin influences (barely, its just the dembow rhythm, everything else does not really sound Latin at all :joy: )

That’s as Latin as I will go :joy:

Saludos!

PS: maybe this weird House track could be thought of to have some latin influences:

Hello and buenas from the alps now again to andes, amazonas and beaches
I returned quite confused sad but anyway,
Old Chicha/cumbia etc fan here, estilo Chacalon, Yungas, o de colombia or for example this site:

Electronic interesting i found the story of the mining city La Oroya and synthpop, here with synth head Dante Gonzalez, who seems also conected to atomo synth, small modular company. Didn‘t visit or meet unfortunately
Love this song😢

A piece of nerd synth traceability:

Big fan of Julian Salazar since his Bomba Stereo days. I saw him once performing live with Bomba with a Stratocaster and table full of stompboxes and Monosynths. Sick sounds.

He has a patch that sounds like tropical birds, tripping in the jungle. That patch can be hear in his main project, Mitu, “Potro” track from first album:

The same patch was used by him in a Bomba Stereo song, coincidently named “Pájaros” or birds. Consequently, one of my favorites from Bomba. Here the patch is recalled using an MPC and remixed live:

That’s all for today on “Patch Catch”.

Anyway, This is his latest work and my “reference” track, or even style maybe:

This is not strictly latino but I made a remix of Panamanian pre-reggeaton reggae en español classic…

Hola a todxs and Oi a tudos!

I’m so glad to find some latin american community here :slightly_smiling_face: Really noce recommendations too.

I year ago I released an LP with some nice percs and latin influences:

Panoramas (Ambientes Deluxe) | mncrmo

Now i’m exploring a way more chilled vibe, more directly influenced by reggeaton and funki music. Oro Azul is a big inspiration for me:

Greetings to all!

Olááá/Holááá latinos!

I’m from :brazil: but live in :sweden:. I’ve been trying for a while to add some Brazilian rhythms to my techno tracks but… Nothing that really worked so far, does anyone have done it? Any tips?

Cheers to all of you

Sorry, maybe too much. But I find La Oroya interesting, in general the mining thematic/conflict, ecological thing. (No synth without mining…)
Maybe there is also a bit connection with cumbia amazonica: The mirlos(etc)-la danza del petrolero? And eventually in another way to Detroit industrial city… Saludos gracias
