Lame Analog Heat Challenge

So today I finally got to put a bit of time into the AH I received a couple weeks ago. I had a thought for a challenge which I hope is not actually lame and here is the premise. Record a piece of audio with what you perceive to be the lamest bit of kit you have in your possession(a single piece at a time) with the intent to make said piece of kit sound interesting despite its inherent uselessness. I have included two samples I have done:

This one is just a Korg DDD-1 but it seemed like it was too easy with a drum machine no matter how shitty so…

This is a Suzuki Q-chord

Neither of these are great compositions mind you but I think they are good audio examples of some of the diversity the AH exudes.

don’t you have a spare adjustable voltage wallwart you can use?

As for the lame sound challenge, to me it all depends on context, so a lame sound in one song is the perfect sound in another… In other words, can’t you just supply us with the samples? :nyan:

The point in my mind was that I’d like to hear examples from the bits of kit everyone has in their studio that they almost instantly regretted obtaining. Things you still have that you may have never imagined would be usable for what you produce.

ex. Rhythm wolf, timbrewolf, Pianorgan, Casio home arranger, musicbox…things of this nature

Wow - that Q Chord sounds great! Nice challenge :smile_cat:
