Laleuca - Experimental looper for iPhone

Quite excited about this, I released an app :slightly_smiling_face:

Laleuca is an experimental looper for iPhone. It has 3 loopers that run asynchronously.

Some nice features

  • Auto recording lets you set recording source and auto record time. For example looper B can continuously record from looper A and load it into its player every x second, and looper C can record and load from B, etc.

  • Random mode allows almost any parameters to be randomised by custom amounts on each new loop.

  • Has polyphony with four voices per looper when random mode is turned on.

  • 4 LFOs per looper, each capable of modulating multiple parameters.

  • Morph knob to morph parameters between two states.

  • Rhythm mode plays repeating patterns with timing control to make it more or less “on the grid”, and drift to introduce gradual changes.

  • UI designed for iPhone portrait mode.

There is a manual for the app in the settings page with a few tips for some less obvious gestures/functions.

Not currently available in Europe unfortunately, hopefully this will change soon.

Full functionality of looper A/B is free. One time purchase (release price $1) to unlock looper C.

Would appreciate any feedback, and would really love to hear anything you make with it!

AI disclosure: LLM’s were used extensively to write the code in this app.

Two short demos:

Very cool and congratulations on your creation. I wish that I was still on an iPhone so that I could check it out! I’ll definitely keep an eye on it, though!

Is this IOS only, or is it available for Mac as well.

? (Forgot that I was asking a question)

Hey, currently planning for iOS only.

That being said, I think Apple now lets you download iPhone apps to use on Mac.

I’ll look into it a bit more and let you know if I figure it out

nice one, I wanted to give it a spin but I am in Europe. will check it out once it is in the German app store

have you thought of sharing this at the Loopy Pro forum?
