A final call or retirement bundle? I have an upcoming sales too
And based on the result of this I will decide to continue developing for the NTS range of devices. Moving mostly to VST, Android, iOS/macOS and Move/Live.
Note; it says games. But these are logue units. I might drop the price a bit before sales starts, but based on your ‘reasonable’ feedback
While rearranging a live-setup, I hooked up a forgotten NTS-3 to the main-send-FX.
I like that it’s so compact & light. Fits perfect above my little mixer. Yes, the cables drag it down (fixed that with tape) but small & light is better in this case.
The USB-power-humm is unbearable without a usb-hum-destroyer, but said usb-hum-destroyer, errr destroyed that hum. Fixed.
Yes, it is a flimsy DIY thingy, but the FX sound high-quality, are stereo, you can have 4 of them at once AND it has sync/midi tempo! For that price? Nice.
Ok, what I wanted to share is the sound quality of this thing, I’m impressed! The reverbs are amazing. Not sure how to put it in words. But some FX sound like a layer of FX. This sounds like ‘air’. It adds the thing you want to add, without filling up the spectrum - if that makes sense
I have yet to make my own presets (to-do), and should also check some 3rd party FX as shared here (to-do-two). What a cool little device!
Good question! And Agree, I would have sold it too if I didn’t have this thing lying around.
Years ago I bought a bunch of “hum isolator”-solutions. Active boxes, magnetic beads, and this USB thing here. I can’t remember where I bought it. There’s also no info on the thing (it came in a unbranded plastic bag.)
I found it back! Here you go:
" DEVMO 2PCS USB Digital Isolation ADUM3160 - USB Isolator with OC Protection (5KV ESD MAX)"
One-Touch Generative Micro-Synth for KORG NTS-3 kaoss pad kit
OVERVIEW
Windfall turns the NTS-3’s pad into a single button that writes tiny musical ideas for you. Touch it, and a fully-formed 4-voice arrangement appears: a pad, a riff, a bassline, a slowly shifting chord, sometimes all at once. Touch it again and that idea is gone forever, replaced by a new one.
That sounds great. Like Cyma Forma RND for people who don’t want to spend £130 on a new weird little square because they’ve already spent £130 on Korg’s weird little square. I’ll look forward to trying it out.
I may be missing something extremely obvious here, but - is there somewhere we can hear a sample of this? Not sure if you have YouTube videos or not for your various Korg FX? Thx
It’s great! Does exactly what it says on the tin, and will be fun to use as a sample source with my Digitakt II. I’m using it plugged into the Korg app right now - my next step is to try to remember how the interface on the actual hardware work again.
I’m also trying out KaossKhord and feeling sad that this machine can’t send MIDI notes!
