Not cheap anyway! Over £1,000 for the combo. Count me out!
From what I understand it’s a module version of the full size MS-20 and not the MS-20 Mini like the name might suggest.
I wish they would’ve done this for the mini version instead, considering the mini is $699, and that has a keyboard in one full pre- assembled package, I imagine a build it yourself ms-20 mini module could have been really affordable. I don’t care for the bundled sequencer.
yeah - having looked at this in detail I can’t really fit the MS-20M into my set-up. physically I mean - it’s quite a big beast. Plus, whilst I used to enjoy my (original) MS-20 it’s never been ‘a must have again’ synth - so for the tune about £1000 I think I would spend my money elsewhere tbh.
Loving the look of the SQ-1 though & will definitely be getting at least 1 !

I just got my SQ-1 yesterday. Fun little box, especially for the price! Here is my first quick test of the SQ-1 sequencing the Korg MS-20 mini -

why don’t you buy a ms20 mini and remove the keys
Get a new case or else to put the mini inside.

Just got the ms20m kit and put it together. I have basically no experience with any of the other Korg MS20 products, but have to say this synth sounds truly gorgeous! Can’t wait to pair it up with the A4 and Keys.
Thought I’d post some pics while I was putting the kit together along with the finished product. Now to figure it out and start having some fun…
i think it’s the coolest ms-20 product of them all - except for that cost…
Not tempted to mod it? There are some really useful mods possible with the kit (I will eventually get round to doing my ms20 mini!).
Well, I would really like to be able to modulate the EG2 parameters. For example modulate release on EG2.
Is this possible without mods/customization? I was thinking maybe patch envelope from A4 to initial gain.
