I watched the intro video, pausing repeatedly. Every frame of the Monologue filled me with desire.
It's pretty amazing how quickly one part of your brain can convince the rest of your body that you need something before the rest of your brain stops to ask why.
Ok. I don't need this thing. Or the last three or so cool, quick, and ridiculously affordable things Korg has released lately. I don't need a Volca Kick either. Oh, no. That would be too easy. My way is the way of suffering. I need either a sequencer that doesn't exist, or some old synth I can't find, or the modular system that will cost me ~$15–20K when all is said and done... and take me at least a decade to get there.
With all that in mind, instead of focusing on all of the things the Monologue can't do, $300 draws my attention to all of the things it can. But mostly, if I'm being honest, I just really dig that Korg designer guy's hair. His team could come up with nearly anything at this point, and it'd make me want to form a band.
