Not to my knowledge, but I’ll be honest it hadn’t even occurred to look into this.
I figure they’re different approaches, but it would’ve been a nice opportunity for integration!
This one is great too. I always love his stuff. I was also very honored that he asked me if I would be interested in swapping patches with him. I’ve been meaning to do some more MK2 stuff, but got sidetracked.
I love the new keybed here compared to what other Korg devices seem to have. Not sure if it’s something I’ll buy, but like with other synths I am inspired by what it’s capable of.
I actually would rather have had the mK2’s mini-keyboard, which is usable and has a small footprint, than the bigger but floppier keyboards in the Opsix and Wavestate. Not that the microKorg2 keys are state of the art or anything, but they’re playable and don’t feel like some super-budget MIDI controller. Thanks to Korg for paying attention to the mini-key quality.
As someone with digital piano experience, I seem to prefer those keyboards that aren’t synth-action. I love Arturia’s devices for this, but I prefer other companies, for, say, their software experience. Novation has MIDI controllers that use digital piano-like keys, but only on a limited range of devices. Needless to say, I had my Launchkey Mini 25 sold off on eBay for that reason.
The sound really good!
