Turns out elektron only sent 1 to my retailer and I was first in line…

Mind you, Elektron told me via email on April 22 that Octatracks “are now shipping”.
Where they are shipping is anyone’s guess, but it doesn’t appear they are being shipped to those that have paid for them.
I saw that Sweetwater changed their status today as well (as I’m checking SW, GC, and MF daily now to see what their OT status is), and I’m gutted. I was hoping that if they were receiving them this week, the OctaDrought might be over.
I’ve been waitnig since the beginning of the year, and feel like a chump at this point.
never believe any kind of backorder date. i learned the same lesson when trying to find a waldorf blofeld last year. ended up buying a blemished unit. i ordered and paid for the octatrack from GC a couple moths ago a watched as the ship dates came and went. mysteriously out of the blue, a blemished OT popped up on the GC website. i was able to cancel my original order and grab it. a brand new OT with warranty. the only “blemish” i could find was what looked like an eyelash or eyebrow hair under the bottom right corner of the LCD. hardly noticeable. its an awesome machine and i really want to say its worth the wait. but at the same time if i was still waiting like alot of people and getting jerked around by elektron by not giving a straight answer to when they will ship i would have bought something made by a different manufacturer on principle. kinda makes you feel like they don’t really care about your $1300. it is a very very fun machine though. maybe take the time to watch the youtube tutorials and read the manual a few times. the manual will be your best friend once you get the machine.
Just spoke with someone from Sweetwater, now their ETA is the end of the month, which I don’t believe will happen. I can’t even imagine how backlogged Elektron is with OT orders-even if they were actually shipping them right now, it would take them months to fulfill. IMO, they should probably stop accepting preorders until they can meet current demands…and then actually try to meet them.

Just curious. Did anyone here receive their OT yet? I bought one two weeks ago and they still appear to be pretty backlogged.
I’ve signed up for stock notifications on almost all US based retailer sites and it eventually popped up at B&H. Purchased OT & MnM one hour later 
At that moment ETA from SW were mid July and late August for OT and MnM respectively.

I feel your pain, I really do. I had a backorder for like 3-4 months. It finally arrived after being told “one month more…” over and over, just yesterday.
Its definitely worth the wait!
