I’ve got the Mk1s and they are very nice, ESPECIALLY for the money.
The JBL 305s are considered one of the best value-for-money offerings you can buy in that category (budget/entry-level). They are much better than one would assume.

Highly recommended from me as well. The 305s mki are my main studio monitors. Super solid and accurate.

Love mine.
I’ve got the 308 MKII and they sound great, but the wrap around the front fascia has gotten so nasty and crept up around the edges to the point that it’s sticking up all around. Looks fuckin terrible, and I have no idea why it happened. They’ve been sitting on their stands the entire time in a temp controlled room, no sun whatsoever on them and I don’t touch them with my hands or move them. For this reason I would never purchase again, they really look terrible at this point and I’ve only had them for a year. If a JBL rep sees this, send me a PM. I should probably call support and try to get them replaced.
Def contact support, I had mine for over 5 years (Mk1) and they look like new still.

Same, had mine since they came out and they look brand new.
I recommend these monitors to literally every producer starting out. They are great.

I used to have the 305s and can also recommend them. Best thing about them is the stereo field. I upgraded to way more expensive speakers and in comparison I really saw how good the 305s are for the price.

I have the 308p mkii’ and like them. The pricing is all over the place. JBL has them for $189 each direct. I think I got mine for about $125 each from proaudiostar at some point. Crazy price!
was looking at these 305s but i don’t have much space . is the 305 really heaps better than presonus? looking at the presonus because they are front ported. or should i move my desk a bit away from the wall :-/
I wanted black but were out of stock so I got the white ones bundled with stands and cables for £240 not sure how much that is in $$$ tho
Is that price for 1 or 2 speakers?, the description says 2x but at the end it has (each), which makes it sound like the deal is for 1 only.

Seems clear enough there, strange description in a market where single speaker sales are common though, even the top description says white speaker with stands and cables not speakers, adding an (each) and only showing a pic of one would have made it a pass if I were making an order?.

I have the MKI and for that price…can´t do anything wrong with those, when you are on a budget.
Still i am thinking about replacing them with Genelecs 8020, those are smaller, better sounding but also much more expensive.
