Hey folks, just a heads up that on Tuesday 1st November, we’re holding the next community electronic Jam Night in Cambridge, UK, with the opportunity to jam/augment your rigs with some optional live musicians (including some augmented electronics) and explore improvising with your gear! There’s usually an eclectic mix of plenty of other folks to group up and jam Elektron gear with too, as well as a great social element!

  • Ever wanted to jam your rig with a live percussionist?
  • Create evolving soundscapes and mangle instruments?
  • Live-sample/loop to create on-the-fly instrumentals with live organic grooves?
  • Improv. beats with instrumental textures and tribal vocals?

This is a unique jam night opportunity in a low stakes, low pressure and inclusive atmosphere, to experiment and expand your sonic palette… try something new and jam with open-minded live musicians and electronic performers. It can be tricky to find like-minded people to experiment beyond your comfort zone, so why not use CEM’s Jam Night to do just that! You may be surprised who you meet and what you create!

Very cool, and not too far from me.

My only limitation is I’m useless at live electronic playing and hopeless at networking.

Oh cool! I’d been thinking the blue moon would be perfect for this kind of thing. The monthly goth night is fun but this would be more up my street.

You don’t have to play if you don’t feel up to it, but I would recommend bringing something tucked inside a backpack just in case you you change your mind! :stuck_out_tongue:
