Hi, is anyone else running into an issue loading the new Unmechanical sound pack? I can’t get the .syx files to load using C6. At first I thought I was doing something wrong but I did a quick test and was able to load a few .syx files from the Atmospheres Vol. 1 Sound Pack without issue.
I am tempted to look at the .syx files using MIDI-OX to see if I can identify where they differ. But I probably would not be able to identify if there were any incorrect parameters. If other people here are able to load it then I know it must be something on my end.
The files are not being received on my end either using c6 over usb.
I did the same as you did and I was able to send over some previous syx files from a different soundpack. It appears these files are not being recognized as legit syx files.
Do you have the latest A4/AK operating system installed? I read a post on YouTube about that. Someone said that the sounds wouldn’t load with the old OS. That statement suggests to me that these patches were created on the new OS, and aren’t backwards compatible. So try it with the new OS.
I noticed today that a new manual is in the elektron.se downloads, for an os 1.2 update. I assume overbridge will bring this os update, and should be very shortly if the manual is online
Good spot! No reference to Overbridge in there though and I can’t see anything new in Contents.
On the subject of Unmechanical - this has to be the best set of patches yet. Dozens of absolutely fantastic sounds in there and great use of the joystick.
EDIT:Looks like the manual is for “OS 1.12” so “1.2” on the website probably a typo.
There’s a new section on CV Voltage Trim. I have no idea if that is significant.
