It’s a performance feature really. It’s a great way to slowly bring in more musical content instead of using probability.
Thanks for this tip. I hadn’t thought about it in performance terms before, but I have a couple of tracks which could do with “progressive reveal” melodies. I was gonna play it with mute trigs, but this idea sounds great. I’ll try it.

These new features sure make an impact. Loading some presets into the sound pool and having different sounds on each step is a killer thing when you switch the euclidean mode on.
Messing with the euclidean settings as the different sounds are playing is super fun.
Tbh I’m still wrapping my head around this new FW and more so the ways it affects the way I want to use this machine. Still, it’s clear that this is absolutely huge.

Mute trigs and direct jump (just have x amount of ‘denser’ variations of your melody on different patterns) were a good way to do this on the A4 already indeed 
But with the Euclidean mode now you can increase density and also move stuff around at the same time. Sounds like a fun time

I mean, it’s not really a trick when they lay it out for us:
Here, the p-locked notes are stored in a “hidden layer” that can be unveiled and moved around to create new melodies, simply by changing the Euclidean pattern.

Also: Pulse count is control all-able. So you can ‘reveal’ all 4 tracks at the same time of you want.

on rytm it works the same.
You can lay out a sequence of notes, and then every euclidean trig will play one of these notes, in order.
Try:
go into STEP REC
put a sequence of notes to your liking,
turn on euclidean sequencer and play with your note sequence.

In normal mode : you put a trig on each step with the pitch you want
Switch to Euclidian mode. All your normal trigs disappear. Press play and tweak the Pl1, your normal picthes are back on the selected Euclidian sequencer but with an euclidian distribution
Edit : the euclidianbdistribution follow your normal trig distribution. Same behaviour than Cirklons’Prh

I think it depend on your prog’s habit
But, i must say that the euclidian will play only the same number of notes you programmed in the normal pattern. That’s the limit.

I don’t fully understand what you guys are talking about with euclidian+triggers but it sounds cool. I’ve only used it for rhythmic stuff on the AR. So you’re saying that the notes you record act as like a pool of pitches, and then the euclidian mode can create rhythmic triggers that step through that set of notes?

That mean also that all your "old patterns " can be recycled
