Isn't the Analog Four the most incredible and deep instrument from Elektron so far?

And two inputs that one can “patch” to oscillator 1/2 and/or fx is also interesting

Forgive my ignorance, but why are there 10 outputs? I thought there were 6 channels total?

I thought he was counting the 4 CV a/b/c/d outs

Ah, that makes sense. I always forget about the CV aspect. Thanks.

the 4 outs of the voices are stereo outs

that means 8 channels of indiouts + 2 channels of master out = 10

not counting the CV outputs here, as they cannot output audio as such

Can you share a bit of knowledge about how you achieve all these organic sounds?

That’s only possible because the A4 has that character combined with using noise on sounds. On top of that I run the A4 through an Overstayer Modular Channel where I add compression and drive. It’s a magical device, the A4.

The CV LFO is limited but in the audio range :), would be nice with an update with keytracking for the CV LFO if it’s possible

How many (Milli)second delay time is the internal delay setting 6 (1x) bpm 120?

a4 mk1 is the best thing ever imo

Thank you, how do one calculate this 93.85 mhtime in ms? Is there a formula with bpm, 6 and x1 ?

Jeez. Is this now really the “ask everything that ever came to your mind regarding A4 thread”???

Edit:
I know everybody seeks answers sometimes. I do, too. But for sake of decluttering the whole experience, why not make a) use of search and/or b) open your own topics? It’s really easy.

6 corresponds to a dotted 1/32 note (also in the manual), which in 120BPM is 93.75 ms. There are online calculators to convert note length to ms.

Thank you, ill leave it to another thread. Still my favorite synth ak/a4i need to learn how to Google ak fx /LFO 7, x1, and LFO triangle time mudulating calculate ms timerange:)

OT

There’s a very detailed PDF with delay times and LFO times somewhere on Elektronauts. Maybe that’s useful for you…

Advanced Delay Time Cheat-Sheet

Actually the whole thread is pure gold!

Thank you! Interesting, it’s like a labyrinth to imagine the FX LFO time sweep in ms on the delay time

I’ve never posted music on this forum, but here’s a lil pattern I made with the A4.
It’s been run through Analog Heat.

I just got the A4 and I’m still trying to figure out the performance controls, so the cuts might sound a tad janky.

Meandering through the Clementine playlists, I tripped over this and realised it was recorded 9 years ago now (and I never did finish the In Dub album it was supposed to be part of). Anyway, one Analog 4 pattern plus a few EMX-1 hi-hats, tweaked and recorded live and then overdubbed with MC Digi-duppy cutups plus a shedload of reverb and delay in Audacity.
