They’d have been better off keeping it a mystery. That sounded fucking terrible/cheesy

Like the sound, hate the look

I’m really surprised. That sounds so… PCM for something based on the Parva. Not at all what I was expecting.

Feeling quite the opposite.

very excited for this and the potentials of third party voice cards and hopefully even the possibility of DIY voice cards at some point, my dream would be to use something like the Daisy seed dsp board to mimic the monomachines DigiPro DDRW voice architecture

Is that speaker sound recorded through a phone? Might sound good … but who knows…

It is definitely a digital sound font. I’m pretty sure most of the synthesis is going to be on cards that will come later in development. At least the synthesis that can’t be handled by the existing digital chips (e.g. analog, yamaha fm, etc)

Oh. That makes sense. Certainly sounds more like a soundfont than a Parva. Not sure what the connection is, now, though.

I believe the demo is the built in digital synth engine that is the default with no cards installed. 2 or 4 improved Parva cards are available with preorders. I’m pretty stoked about this synth. I owned 2 Parvas…loved the sound, but the cards were flaky on both of mine

Well, I placed a pre-order after watching the stream. This looks to be a dream with the other voice cards that are coming down the line (OPL-3, drums, OBX, acid, etc). I probably shouldn’t with the other projects I have floating around but the price is just too tempting (compare it to a CODE-8 or something).

There’s an additional pre-order coupon that expires today Monday you can find in the videos if anyone else is tempted.

This looks neat, I’ll need to sit down and watch the live stream (and follow up) to decide if this is one I want to jump on the preorder.

Not watched the stream yet but frankly I’ve seen more than enough to… PRE ORDER!! :sunglasses:

Can’t wait and very much enthused to follow the development. As someone who has went through pretty much all recent polysynths and grooveboxes I think this one is something special.

I think I’m going to skip this one though the concept seems neat.

The only thing I couldn’t find information on was if the 2/4 card preorder was only for Parvus boards after watching all that.

It is only for the Parva currently. The OPL and OBX boards are under development but they haven’t been promised to be ready on release day. I’m hoping that they will be ready and maybe there will be some flexibility to switch up the ordered boards as things get closer (though there has been no indication of this).

Interesting note from the video: A potential Modal Paula Maddox card  .

Which Modal?

Paul Maddox is designing a card for it - will be unique, tho assumingly borrowing something from Model
