Is it possible to use analog4 mk2 fx track as an fx send with OB

Hi,
I am thinking of getting an A4.
I’m wondering if its possible to send audio to the OB plugin and have that treated as “ext in” so that I can send it through filters etc and back to my DAW.
I understand this may be possible when using it as my DAW interface, but id rather use it with the plugin instead!
Cheers

Yes.

You can route audio to any one of the 4 tracks, or the FX track.

From the OverBridge manual:

6.9 INPUT ROUTING
In addition to the outputs, the Analog Rytm and Analog Keys/Four plugins also have four stereo (L/R) inputs. Use the input routing functionality if you want to route audio (from, for example, a regular software plugin or an external instrument jacked into your DAW) through a voice on your Overbridge device, for example, to treat the audio to some analog processing. This functionality is sometimes called Sidechain input routing.

Click INPUT ROUTING at the top of the plugin window to open the INPUT ROUTING menu.
Click one of the eight boxes, then select which destination you wish to route audio through. You can even route your audio to two separate destinations at the same time.

Any audio track on your Analog Rytm or Analog Keys/Four instrument may be set as a destination: Main L, Main R, Main FX L, Main FX R or Track 1–12 on the Analog Rytm. Main L, Main R or Track 1–4 on the Analog Keys/Four.

Aah so on A4 it has to go through a voice track can’t just go straight to FX :frowning:
Is it possible to route the oscillators to a single voice so you can still have 4 note chords while also using one of the voices as an OB filter?

IE
Oscs 1 + 2 + 3 +4 -> voice 1 (ie just 1 shared filter) (I guess this is considered paraphonic?)

voice 2, 3, 4 can then be used for effecting external signals?

When you use physical inputs on the back of A4 they get routed to an FX track. Controls over input pan, fx sends, and levels are on the FX track. I don’t think you’ll be losing any of the 4 synth tracks or synth voices.

Yea that’s similar to DN. I don’t understand why this is possible with physical input but not through OB plugin though :frowning: Having a single USB wire is great  No mess!
