Say I want track one to have 16 steps but track two to have only 5 steps. Is this possible with the monomachine sequencer, or do all tracks have to have the same scale setup?
not on the mono. tho you can if you hook up a megacommand.
I think you can do something with the arp, can’t remeber exactly how or what, but I think it’s a thing. I’m sure someone else can chime in.
thanks. I didn’t think it could be done, but thought I’d ask.
With the arpeggio, one can set an arp’d pattern with up to 16 steps and each step can have a note offset which can be used to create melodies. So an arp can do 6 steps and each can have its own note offset. The thing to consider is that arp steps do not have p-lock functionality, and the pattern resets back to the first step every time the note is triggered.
Actually, you can do it as long as you don’t have any track sequence longer than 16 steps. Because the Arp is basically a 16steps sequencer.
true. i corrected my reply.
Actually I was only “completing” your answer, that was perfectly right
