iPad Music Apps?

They made adjustments that make it look like Ableton.

for example?

I rarely recommend apps here, but I’m highly impressed with Cascade - a very flexible reverb / echo thing - from big space to pitch shifting chorus, flanges, and short, widened slap back delays. Only 5 Ā£/$/Euro (intro price for another few days). IMO - Eventide level quality. I got lost in dub space last night feeding Tera Pro into this. Pick up a bargain and thank me later

Free Syncussion anyone  it’s saving me Ā£600 at the moment:

Yeah, me neither until 20mins ago  I’ve got all the sliders mapped via Digitakt, can sequenced it too. Well happy!

Nice! Insta grab

Nice! I guess it’s not an AUv3, though?

Sadly not. But it does have cc support and sync to external clock.

Just discovered these great free (most of them I think) plugins which run on iOS and other platforms.

Was looking for a free delay AU for iPad to quench my DD500 GAS and the Chowmatrix looks like just the ticket! Only found it towards the end of my session last night so not explored it enough yet but it certainly looks and sounds very interesting and might be able to make a very wide range of fx.

The tape model also sounds great!

Just answering here as I noticed something similar.

The sound selection/search thing now being on the left (rather than split on the left and right as it is on desktop) feels like it could be inspired by Ableton’s browser. And what looks like an effects strip under the tracks looks like the device rack for Ableton that you’d see in Arrangement View. As I understand it, on desktop Logic, these devices are a click away or are hidden in the effects strip of each channel.

That said, I think a lot of the design choices for Abelton were made when screens were small and space was at a premium. So in a way it’s no surprise that Logic for smaller screens have landed on some similar choices. I’m sure all the DAW’s borrow ideas from each other one way or another (eg: Ableton implementing comping with 11.)

well the more like ableton the better, cause ableton is gonna take their sweet time that’s for sure… looking forward to seeing how logic pans out, although I’m not looking forward to having to crawl out of my iPad mini bunker to use it properly

Are you thinking of switching between them or comparing Logic to Ableton?

Actually, interface wise, most of the DAWs, including Ableton and Bitwig, have been lazy and lacking.

The tape one is very good, one of my most used effects.

Chow Tape is incredible. Jatin is a bona fide genius

I’ve loved the ui since 1.0, it just immediately clicked with me but they certainly make improvements at their own pace…
I’d be happy if they just put session mode on an ipad

Do you or anyone else know of a plugin for iOS that sounds like the RMX16?
I know there a few on Desktop but I don’t know of any on iOS.
