Holy cow kb1 is magnificent, thanks so much.
It would be even better if there was a switch to make the controls disappear and just have the keyboards. On iPhone the config takes up a huge amount of space. But it’s still great, thanks again.

I think there must be a way to close the extra control config that’s taking up so much space here, and I’m just missing it in the UI.
Anyone using Audulus4? Loving it so far and seems deep enough to keep me occupied for most of 2023
Haven’t found it in KB-1 myself (UI switch), it’s a pretty waste of space, but then I dig having this app open and broadcasting midi from it via Bluetooth to my macbook air into Bitwig…allows me to play with some vsts while on holiday without any other equipment.
i only see v 3…6.1 available. didn’t know there was a V4???
edit: ok. went to the site. followed the link. requires Ventura for Mac operation. i’ll cehck it out on the iPad. i’m not on ventura yet. still waiting for the all clear on all the thinsgs
What apps are you thinking will stop working in iOS 16?
Does anybody know a sustainer like effect?
I’m thinking on something like Superego or Gamechanger Plus pedals.
Probably a live granular engine can do something similar, just want to know if there’s something more streamlined.
Possibly overkill but Roxsyn might be what you’re after?
Be aware that Yonac sales can be major (I picked this up for 99 cents) - they drop all of their prices a few times a year, but usually only for 24 hours.
I’ve not used this one seriously but it’s fun for a play, for a buck.
Caustic is pretty good for the price.
It’s a bit like Reason I guess
This is the closest thing I can think of. I’m not sure if it’s exactly what you’re looking for.
That’s the closest approach to what I was thinking no doubt! It sounds exactly how I want.
Unfortunately it only lasts up to 10s from the original input. I’ll ask for a freeze button to the dev, seems it could be easy to add having the engine built as a multi-tap delay.
For the curious, I’m interested in Endless Processor by Blukac and would like to know if I find the tool useful for my sound before purchasing.
EDIT: It looks Fluss has a freeze option for the live input version, while it’s only momentary on two finger press, it can be addressed by MIDI. On the same line, SILO has the option to stop writing to the buffer, meaning you can “freeze” it + navigate the buffer with one finger + modify the shape of the grain envelope (bell shaped for a Velvet like effect smearing the transients or pointy to keep/create transients). Conclusion: Velvet is the closest sounding to Endless Processor but SILO has more options to edit the sound where I like and has a way to “freeze” the buffer.
So ummm I am an iPhone guy now cuz phone plus tiny laptop with Abes on it (and respective small kidi controllers) are two separate things that are just amazing for power per square inch. iPad is dope af of course but I can’t afford to have all three upgraded constantly so I’ve begrudgingly dedicated myself to iPhone and Thinkpad x Ableton for the foreseeable future
Are y’all fucking with DAWNBEAT sampler yet or what? I think it’s the next Koala and I use them both for diff reasons. Dawnbeat has better effects and some really nice QOL features for an iPhone production rig
Cheers for the Dawnbeat info, will check that out, can never have enough samplers in the pocket!

I appreciate that I’m probably very late to the party here, but I’m just getting into Loopy Pro and am now grasping the huge power of this app!
I bought it maybe a year ago, but like many iOS apps that I buy, they usually sit there for sometimes months (and years) before I use them, if at all. It’s a bad habit, but it’s the consequence of cheap to buy software and having too many options at your fingertips.
Anyway, back to Loopy Pro - I didn’t realise it has the same kind of auv3/any app interoperability that AUM has, but with an interface that seems more advanced and more usable to my brain.
I’m using it with an M1 iPad and it barely breaks a sweat no matter what I throw at it.
I bought an MPC One a few weeks back, mainly for sample chopping/time stretching, one shot triggering, live looping etc., with triggering coming from my Hapax, so probably total overkill + it doesn’t like to be midi controlled much with some strange glitchy problems, so I was just considering whether I should swap it for something a little more simple and focused for my needs, to say an SP404mk2, but having just spent an hour or so with Loopy Pro, I’m feeling the urge to sell the MPC as it’s a waste of a machine given my needs. The iPad is already integrated into my setup with full midi control etc., so I think this may be the perfect tool for me and for once I don’t need to buy anything new! Result!
Anyone else feel the same way about this app?
Cheers
Yeah , I’m with you on this. I fired it up yesterday for the 1st time in ages and it’s so intuitive from the off, I’m astonished at the detail and thought that has been crafted by Michael the sole dev. Although really I just use it to grab ideas and as clip launcher, I’ve done some live looping with it, but I don’t think the live looper benefits me much and isnt really my thing. It kind of reminds me of the Octatrack , it can do so many things, so you feel guilty about not using all functions at once, but it’s all there when you need it. Having said that, I’ve never owned on Octatrack , it gives me the fear thinking about it. Anyway, I think it’s the benchmark for loopers really & like you say it can host other AUv3s in stand alone so it’s potential is not limited.
I’ve had two OT’s over the years and never fully adapted to the workflow, it’s just too finicky.
I haven’t watched any tutorials for LP and have more or less got the gist of it straight away.
The UI is so intuitively and we’ll designed, it’s ridiculously good.
In terms of other capable apps, I’ve wanted to get into Drambo, but just haven’t been able to flow with it - maybe I need to set aside more time with that one
Yup, drambo wields power for sure…but you need to spend time with it too. to get familiar and fluent, I’ve dabbled and I’m in awe…but need more immediatcy these days as fam & daily life get in my way……or a Time Machine might help?!? Anyone in invented them yet?
Loopy pro is one of my fav apps. I was using it non stop before digging back into ableton and max while back.
Plan is to run them both using loopy to sample and sequence my iPad apps then run that into ableton to mix with other tracks.
I love Loopy Pro, and I use it in a very simple way. I put it on the last track in Drambo, and use it to record loops from the other tracks. They are always in sync, and the Loopy window can float on the screen so it is always accessible. It’s like Ableton’s session view.
You can also drag clips directly from Drambo’s recorder modules, and drop them into LP.
I have found that I much prefer sequencers for making music, so Drambo is the best for me. But LP is such a good looper.
