iPad & Korg Electribe 2

Hello,

I’m trying to send midi from the fugue machine IOS app to the Korg Electribe 2.

I have the following:

But unfortunately I still can’t get this to work.

Does anyone have any experience with connecting an iPad to the Electribe?

Thanks

You may still need the apple camera adapter in between.

I do most of my stuff with an iPhone so I’m guessing it’s similar with an iPad. Before I used the adapter I had a hard time getting interfaces or midi/usb interactions to work right.

Thanks for the response.

So I have the apple camera connection kit, and a class compliment usb to 5 pin midi cable.

Is there anything else I would need? Been trying to figure this out all night, but it’s left me scratching my head so say the least!

I don’t mind! I’m still learning how to use MIDI effectively too.

Are you sure you’ve got midi enabled and on the right channel in Fugue Machine?
Right channels ready to receive on your Electribe?

Ok, so I’m an idiot

The Electribe can send and receive midi via usb….so all the I needed to do was use a standard usb cable hooked up to the USB port of the Electribe and apple cck adapter to the iPad.

No need for a class compliment midi din adapter etc. Pretty chuffed as I love the Electribe but now I have a decent sequencer for it.

Hope this post helps anyone else that maybe struggling.
