iOS Sequencer recommendations

Could very well be that it doesn’t play well with apps. I haven’t tried it for sequencing external gear yet. Might work a treat though

If I was the OP, and it has the features I’m looking for, then I’d take a chance on it as it could just be a handful of apps that it doesn’t play well with.

Havent tried it before myself but could seek a refund on the app for not working as advertised…

Hey guys. So I got Modstep and it syncs well with OT. I’m wondering how I can send a midi note to Modstep to change scenes in Modstep? Modstep accepts midi mapping so I was thinking I could send a midi note from the OT during mapping. I cant figure out how to do it though.

iOS sequencer suggestion?
I’m a hardware Luddite, so I know nothing about DAWs. Took a look on the App Store and came across an FL Studio app, which I’ve seen mentioned frequently on the nauts forum.
Just want to sequence the Blackbox, that’s all. Linear composition type, piano roll thingy.

Are you using it? Looks like the dream app for Digitone and everything else – endless LFOs and custom envelopes?

i think i bought it… cant remember using it.
i grabbed cubase to make ios note/sequence/midi cc editing a little simpler… though i do like abletons ability to unlink midi cc from the main note sequence…

id also like a old style drum trigger/sequencer alongside a piano roll … like i had in cubase on pc 25 years ago…
or maybe i’m just never satisfied and blame my tools instead of my talent.

I haven’t used it a ton but, just because I don’t work on iOS much. It has a decently well thought out interface that works well with touch. I’ve honestly tried most of them out there. It definitely has all the features I need to sequence other gear. Its also very stable for me.

I recently attached a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to my iPad. I realized that I just don’t like touch screens that much. I find using the iPad with a mouse and keyboard + touch for keys or pads has been the missing link all along for me.

I tried this for iOS work and found to not be ideal BUT I think it would be perfect for hardware
