iOS iPhone xox type midi sequencer that sends/receives clock

Anyone know a free/cheap iPhone midi drum sequencer (xox would be fine) for triggering gates on my FH-2 Eurorack midi-cv module?

I tried Concetric app which works for polymeter notes, but it doesn’t seem to send/receive clock.

I can’t seem to find midi in the GarageBand app, or is there?

Xequence 2 maybe … I always wanted to use it - never did but it can do that.

Rozeta by Bram bos has a xox sequencer. You’ll Need a host like AUM though.

I’m (naively?) hoping to skip this step of complexity, as I don’t know yet how to set that up and if I’ll really use it.

Can you use this without a host like Aum?

Same question for this?

Fair enough, probably best to skip AUM then and choose another standalone app. Always better to keep it simple

Awesome, I found this video about it (for who’s reading this at some later point)

Gonna buy it as soon as I figure out my Apple ID :man_facepalming:

that looks way better than Xequencer!

Xequence 2 is insanely hardcore. Elastic Drums is cool, but if you want deeper sequencing, Xequence 2 is the way to go.

Yep… I dislike the UI/UX though - it’s too unintuitive - I always click on the wrong buttons and don’t find anything.

It def. takes a minute to get into, but it’s pretty much the best MIDI sequencer on iOS. Once you get going on it, everything works pretty much the same way.

Even though it is a bit more expensive, I’d go with Drambo. I love Elastic Drum but Drambo has a lot more potential future uses.

Does it work standalone without a host like AUM? Sends out / receive clock?

Yep! Drambo is a host itself with an X0X style sequencer. Sends and receives midi clock.

A lot of new features are coming with a soon-to-be released major update, but it already suits your needs currently.

what is XOX btw?

It means Roland drum machine style. e.g. 606, 808, 909 (X0X).

ah, okay… never used them… I suppose the simplest on/off step sequencer that is?
