updated my phone and now forum glitches out a bit when trying to post/edit comments. very difficult to use, not sure if it’s something about apples end or the forum

Ah yeh I noticed this the other day after updating. Thought I was going mad. Seems to have sorted itself now tho
Hasn’t sorted itself for me. And have the most up to date version of the OS.

Broke commenting on another forum I use, which is built on a completely different platform. But again seems to have sorted itself. Maybe just needed an update to forum software to cope with some tweak to webkit or some such.
From this thread, it seems there’s bugs in Safari that are fixed in the beta release of Apple’s various mobile OS.
Still not released in an official version, so the problem is ongoing.

The update breaks iPhone viewport somehow so the cursor is offset and wonky when editing. If you scroll outside of whatever text box you’re editing, you should be able to finagle the cursor to be where it belongs. Took me awhile to figure it out now I’m able to edit without losing my shit.
Hope that helps until Apple fixes this bs. They’ve been super sloppy for the past few years. Steve Jobs rolling in his grave.

it’s a pretty bad update. glass effect looks nice but if I scroll more than one page across on my homepage all the app icons completely break and go blank. On all pages too until you restart the phone. comment box on here is all over the place. Editing is def more of an issue than the original comment it’s super awkward

I agree, this update has some cool features but mainly has made things more of a PITA and the new look is not great, imo.

Same here. Ios26 has been a real shitshow for me. And it is so damn ugly.
This is either that place that you go to on a field trip as a kid to pick apples and trip over pumpkins, a really bad BBC daytime drama from 1985, or a 2 time Kentucky derby winning racehorse.
Incidentally, my condolences about your apple phones.

I usually find complaints about new apple OSes kinda overwrought, but this one is genuinely bad imo. Just pointless bling that makes everything harder to see and use. And they killed slideover on the iPad, my favorite and most used feature at work.
