to not handle tons of returns and reorders. I paid 1400€, no way am i keeping my unit
Have you ever bought anything in your life?
This is undiably true also - increasing pressures from investors, and even customers lead to complacency.
One of the trade-offs in improving that of course is that we wait longer for products (which then run the risk of becoming redundant or out-dated) and ultimately pay more for them. The latter point is probably the more significant one for the customer - are you willing to pay more to have more testing and investment in the product up-front to ensure that it has fewer (never none at all) bugs on day one? Some might but that is a significant marketing challenge.
Seeing Thomann is selling the OT MKII for E1630 (!) now I guess there’s a bit of wiggle room with the TV ![]()
Best of luck, in my opinion you should get a full refund under distance selling regulations and anything less is unjust.
Thanks for the heads up on Rubadub, I had them down as being good and was considering spending £1200 there this week but I will now take my money elsewhere and avoid them in future.
no, i managed to stay out of capitalism until now
I remember when Ford called me to announce they’d dropped their prices after I had already bought a car and to issue me the difference.
Indeed. Sticking to the topic would negate this nonsense.
Hej everyone, we know some of you have run into frustrating bugs on Tonverk since its launch, and we’ve been working hard to get them sorted. A new OS (1.0.1) is planned for Monday, September 29, addressing several issues.
One of the main bugs identified after launch is around the MIDI timing jitter leading to sync issues and Auto Sampler latency (these are related and will be solved at the same time). If this fix doesn’t make it to 1.0.1, a second update will follow hot on its heels in October, alongside a handful of other improvements.
The idea of Tonverk is to create a melodic, open-ended instrument - which leads to many new use cases - and therefore also new unforeseen test scenarios. It’s also the first device on this new software platform and as much as we tried to mitigate any problems for launch, we’re sorry if the excitement around it has been dampened in any way.
These are just Tonverk’s first steps and exciting new features are already lined up. Its platform opens up huge possibilities, and we can’t wait to share them with you (some of you have already found an easter egg in there). But first - bug squashing is our prio!
Thanks for bearing with us. Your feedback, especially here on Elektronauts, is invaluable in making Tonverk stronger for everyone.
A proof that your Voices are heard and listened to. Thanks for the communication @Elektron, I think it’s the best way to make your customers happy.
Thanks for communicating and congrats on the launch!
Thats more like it!
Looking forward to next monday, as well as to the new possibilities in the near future
Awesome! Looking forward to the update!
Cool, thank you for the heads up ![]()
I have a feeling that this message is going to get lost due to the communication provided by Elektron people. However, these are words of wisdom! It is so simple, yet it seems that the simplest of thruths are the most difficult to get
Businesses exist only due to customers moving their hard-earned money from their own pockets into companies’ bank accounts. Any transaction of this sort is basically a gesture of appreciation for a product/service received. Discussions do not hurt businesses, a lack of profit does. So if one has already said “yes” with their fun coupons, basically it is seen as a green light for whatever behavior displayed by a business at that moment. We shall not forget that we also have a “no” option
I don’t know where you are at your personal growth, but I don’t think it’s lost on most people that they don’t have to buy or keep a product they don’t want.
Also another question:
How do you guys examine the presets for tonverk (If you do at all).
There’s so much that could be going on that I’m having a hard time figuring out what does what. I imagine overbridge would be good for this, although I’ve never actually used it on any of the other elektron boxes I own ![]()
For those who own TV, so with multisampled instruments, can you sustain notes?
what are the easter eggs ![]()
There’s a granulator in one of the presets.
