Perhaps there’s a nuance being overlooked … to make the idea clearer it’s crucial to think about starting from scratch
From a blank pattern (say A1) select your sounds and improvise your pattern
Now copy this whole arrangement to the next pattern A2 without leaving A1 which is still playing
You can now move to A2 and develop something there for variation or to be able to chain 1 and 2 or seamlessly jump between them or further variations
The key thing is progressing without stopping or creating gaps so you can capture some cohesive improvising in one take when the muse strikes
Unless the key combinations to do this are different I don’t believe this is implemented yet. it’s possible on most other Elektrons afaicr
