Orders have been very quick, from my experience. Good logistics!

I did. Was really surprised too I had to double check to make sure it wasn’t a scam or something. I honestly think it’s a mistake on FedEx/Elektron’s side as it just does not make sense that it would cost 20% more than everywhere else just by ordering from them. I think it would have come up before as well unless there’s some other new ridiculous Brexit law that has popped up.

@thermionic yeah I do agree that usually it should be explicitly stated to avoid doubt, but as you said at the end the MSRP is usually relatively close. Ā£899 vs Ā£850 is reasonable enough to assume that it includes taxes. ~Ā£1100 vs Ā£850 doesn’t feel right  I could have made a silly assumption since it’s usually explicitly stated if VAT is not included, but I honestly don’t think so. Logically anyway. I’ll keep this posted though once I find out/get a response from them.

And just to add to your edit, not sure if it’s a mistranslation or just hasn’t been changed since the 2000s but isn’t the European Community not a thing anymore?

It’s stated on their website.

Same terrible legal non-framework I imagine :frowning:

We’ll find out soon enough I suppose :frowning: fingers crossed it’s just a mistake as it will be a massive hassle having to return it and deal with whatever crap FedEx are going to give me.

What are they like? :exploding_head:

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be surprised to be charged like this (terms or none)… they process card payments in GBP for a sum that is basically the GB RRP (VAT included) for the box.

From the terms, they have obviously mastered selling DDP packages to the US - it would not be hard for them to get this right for the UK too.

Sigh!

We should really get back to talking about DN2 rather than international logistics.

How much was the fed ex bill?

Ordered a few minutes after it was on their site. Getting delivery estimate of Monday

Happened to see you can get a DNII for $100 off at Detroit Modular using spooky10 discount code.

So tempted…

Right?? Like this may be my copium speaking but I’m 99% sure it’s just a mistake, mainly down to all the reasons you listed. I’ll keep you updated though. Hopefully it’s a one off and yours and the others go through smoothly.

Looks amazing, but now I have a dilemma.

Do I buy a Digitone II for $1200, or an immaculate condition second hand analog rytm mk2 for $1600.

…The AR MKII is bigger…

FM DRUM…

Thanks. I’ve dropped them a ticket to ask to cancel my order since mine is still ā€˜processing’ and not shipped yet - and I’d prefer to avoid any tangles if possible.

No idea if they will see the ticket before shipping takes place but we’ll see. Will keep you posted…. And I will definitely still be picking up the machine. I’ve used DN an awful lot (even though I have an FS1R!) and the new box is a great upgrade.

Yeah absolutely. Will be doing the same but it’s the first time I ever ordered something the moment it released so was quite excited :joy: FS1R should keep you plenty busy in the meanwhile anyway.

Fingers crossed. Good luck!

Still not possible to add variations to the arp?
No plocks, no modulation dest, no random mode, no midi control?
(TonVerk exclusivity? :content: )

Yeah it’s weird, only elektron devices.

Oh, the hard sync features on the wave jawn are absolutely bonkers. I’ve been wanting that for aaaaages on one of the digis. Plus, that piano sound may be the only stock preset I ever keep on a synth. Haha.

The OT arp will never be matched.
