Introducing Digitone II

It better be a new Overhub. I recently sold my entire collection of Overhubs in anticipation of this release.

If it will be a white OLED, I hope that ā€œSyntakt syndromeā€ won’t happen again… In the meantime:

dare i say, will it have…

parameter slides?

Deep dive into the new Syntakt machines I guess

Fixed.

Sometime in the past few weeks it was mentioned (on a video, can’t remember which now) that there is the possibility for new modulators on DTII. Midi envelope was given as an example. Could this be the start of expandable devices?

How many are on their Elektron.se profile ready to buy it like a special Nike shoe drop?

you know what just occured to me, since digitone is my dawless ā€œbrainā€ for sequencing all my hardware gear, this will solve all of the issues i had with it previously:
-it didnt have 16 tracks like the dt
-it will have more polyphony than the dt
-it will have easier to access manual quantization shortcut like the dt (rather than having to dive into the menu every time you want to quantize)
-and it should have freely assignable and renamable (savable to kits?) midi machines

either way, 16 tracks and voices in an elektron polysynth is a dream come true. the perfect groovebox

wow

Elektron becoming the Supreme brand of music products, unfortunately only on the customer side or we could have some laughs together…

Oh, I just meant that this kind of ā€œsomething’s coming!ā€ promotional vehicle is usually meant to give you time to get your bank card number ready so that you can buy whatever they’re about to offer you, as opposed to like how the syntakt release was like ā€œok guys, here it is. have fun!ā€

I didn’t mean that I was literally personally getting ready to press the buy button, just saying that this kind of ā€œready for the next cool thing?!ā€ advertising is usually an indication that something is going to be available for purchase.

On a side note the promotional art is very reminiscent of the models, isn’t it?

Deeper

Arguably, no one has traversed the deepest depths of the OG Digitone, yet people are speculating about selling it off.

If this new product follows the DTII formula, then I’d argue there is nothing really deeper going on. More akin to broader.

I have gotten so used to the 4 track limitation of the Digitone, I’m not sure what I’d even do with eight tracks, as I use the DN to make relatively simple electronic hurdy gurdy / calliope backing tracks for my students.

Just trying to control my gas.

With the concept of machines, Elektron could easily fit all three digiboxes into one device. Now that would be something… Unfortunately, I think they prefer to sell three instead of one 🤷

Good thing we only have 2 hours to wait or we could end up like in september`s tonverk madness
-so off-piste, we would be running naked through a Scandinavian forest, with weird rune-like symbols, painted in blue all over us.

I’ve just checked my local Elektron retailer, they’ve significantly discounted both the Digitone and the E25 edition (even slightly cheaper than the OG)
