I still wish they would just make one super powered Digi box that had interchangeable DN/DT/ST machines. I don’t need 3 boxes. I just want the 16 tracks in one box. Give me that with 24-32 voices and I’ll be happy.

i was thinking the same thing. dt2 filters, 16 bars, euclidean mode, page loop, SRR. but now that they are teasing “machines”, im hoping that they have deeper fm synthesis options and/or new synthesis options but im not holding out hope for that

honestly DN’s dropped in price on Reverb (and elsewhere) right after DT2 came out. I think many saw the writing on the wall. guess they could go even lower… maybe soon you could buy a used DN for the price of a new M:C!

From a logical standpoint, the DT and the DN had the same base platform, now as the DT is been upgraded, the DN2 makes most sense.
I still got DN, but i dont know, i always got “bells” out of thing. If the DN2 would be classic FM, i.e. 6 OP , i am more or less sold. Really depends on the actual engines, and control possiblitys - i actually need envelopes for FM ratios, amp levels etc - once you dig FM, there is also a deep need for macros, i wish they would allow a configuration more close to the Analog 4 instead of relying on breath CC (which is still fine.)
And yes, bring back slides on the sequencer, with fm, that is where it absolutly makes sense.
Also the sounds clearly tell it - its a FM synth, imho.

Don’t wanna be the guy, but how long till they bring ST II? They clearly gave us the update last week to send the signal you can buy an ST now without being afraid of a revision just around the corner. Still, how many people interested in an ST will now hold off? And how many will wish all digis had 128 steps etc.?
