Introducing Digitakt II

I’d like to know if there is an option to make an audio track polyphonic, and I’d also like to know if an audio track can send midi at the same time - I want to trigger video clips in Max/MSP or Resolume, in time to my audio-tracks.

No there is not - a way to do polyphonic audio
Pre ordered from andertons - still unsure why they charge full amount

Be really helpful to pin the manual on this thread since their page is inaccessible!

Assigning an LFO to one of the euclidean sequencer parameters seems like it could be very fun for making subtle variation.

What’s everyone’s views then; will any of this be updated on the Digitakt 1, RAM and space permitting? They’ve continued to update the original Analogs for years after, hoping we get some of these updates on the original one! Wishful thinking, I know…

Yeah if a mod or Elektron could post another link to the manual here that would be great.

Doubtful. You’d need a new top panel, extra button, and completely new internals. It’s the same dimensions but everything’s changed save the I/O on the back.

Do you mean I won’t receive it tomorrow ? Damned… :zonked:

looks that way

For first day release it’s absolutely stacked, pretty hard to resist tbh.

Looks great, but after watching the Loopop video for more specifics, it’s not exactly what I thought in terms of it being an Octatrack killer. I may still get one someday but I don’t feel like I need it right now.

That said, if the Digitakt was your thing, this update is nuts.

you can go to and or loop (any number of adjacent or non adjacent pages) directly in one intuitive combo - no paging reqd

Any word on updating the Digitakt with some of these features

Ok so what was the ‘modular workflow’ about

and a step backwards (for now) if you rely on Overbridge

Highly doubtful. This is apparently a brand new platform. It’s not just a raw spec bump.

I suspect this is why it is ‘Digitakt II’ and not ‘Digitakt MKII’. Anything within the same MK seem to be constrained to the same updates (with minor exceptions like class-compliant audio and sampling on the ARMKII). Going to a new ‘Digitakt II’ frees Elektron from those constraints.

Honestly happy to see a new model and not a ‘MKII’.

I hope this doesn’t mean no more updates for DT1, we really need that compressor bypass for the kck if nothing else. Proper timestretch would be nice though…

Neither the At a Glance video nor the Loopop video mention it - I’d expect that kind of thing wouldn’t have been glossed over, so I bet not. The At a Glance video at least shows the Grid screen while she modifies the grid parameters, it looks more or less the same as the old one.
