Longer if using Transfer!

What I really want to know is if ā€˜Kits’ function like they do on the big machines; changes to parameters on one pattern using the same kit persist across all patterns using that kit. It’s the one really big thing that I’ve wanted on Digi-boxes for awhile.

Is that software on a computer, with the DT2 connected to it via USB? I’m not familiar with that.

Edit: Oh wait yeah I know what that is. Yeah that’s nice but I don’t know why you should need to be tethered to a computer to record more than 66 secs.

I think this is the 2nd time they have released a new product on my birthday … have to buy!

When the kit performance mode is on, the kit sound persists between pattern changes. Meaning that you can continuously change the sounds and have them stay continuous between pattern changes.

Ordered from Thomann

Not being able to record more than 66 secs means you can’t resample a whole track within the device, which would be very convenient and nice for building up tracks and albums without a computer.

I was just watching the Loopop video to confirm this! Super, ridiculously stoked about this.

Ordered through Perfect Circuit, is it better to order direct from Elektron though?

Pre-ordered as well!

Got my preorder in. Now to see how long before stock arrives.

I notice Sweetwater has removed the page for the original Elektron and the 25 anniversary version. Wonder if they were able to return the stock? They had both in stock last week.

I’m super excited about the preset performance mode. It basically negates the need for sample slicing for me. Just save a bunch of presets of one shot machines and then I can play them into the sequencer with that trig mode.

is the manual available???
anyone confirm the upgraded slicing resolution?

Skimming the Loopop video. I was fully prepared to pass on this, but I might be selling my DT1 to grab a DT2. My only outstanding question is if Grid/Slice mode has surprises. If he called it out, I missed it, so I’m guessing not. Cliffnotes from the Loopop video:

  • I really like the 4-pole filter. The Comb filter is absolutely crazy.
  • Chorus sounds good. FX are all still Send FX. No surprise here, my speculation was incorrect.
  • Trig modes look like an incredible answer to MPC’s 16 Levels, and a great evolution of Syntakt’s flexible trig buttons.
  • Switching pages is as simple as [PAGE] + [TRIG 1-8], which should make it relatively easy to navigate.
  • Prepare Mutes is a really cool performance feature, works exactly like I’d hope.
  • excluding tracks from Ctrl All makes it way more usable
  • Having Midi Learn is an absolutely incredible addition that should reduce pain when setting up external instruments
  • Separate control over probability, fill, and trig conditions increases flexibility even further in an incredible way, assuming the three can interact like I’d expect.

Soooo many upgrades and new features, can’t wait to dive in.

Overlapping trig conditions, ctrl all select, midi learn, two midi LFOs, glide, page loops… so much.
