Release 1.03A solved the problem with stopping DT2 engine, its ok.
I have to say bit reduction, sample rate reduction and overdrive sound incredible on DT II. And chorus as well. I find myself often just throwing them on everything I sample in and add some LFO to it, thatâs enough to make it something else entirely.
Not a fan of bit reduction. But overdrive and srr sound absolutely incredible.
Bit reduction by itself I donât find super useful, but combining it with SRR to hit certain combinations is quite useful to me. Especially if youâre trying to emulate a certain era of sampler for example. I donât think I ever use BRR without SRR.
This is the news title
For Snares/Claps, it changes everything with the right filtering.
I donât know, feels like the old title.
Yes, thereâs lots of interesting timbres you can get from the interaction of SRR/BR/Overdrive. Itâs somehow become a lot easier to make things sound lo fi (ish) on DT II, yet make the overall output sound more defined and clear.
Definitely! I really like what theyâve done putting all of those in there together.
âOh youâre using the comb filter trick againâ
I feel seen! But I found myself on the cusp of overusing it on a few tracks recently, the effect is so satisfying and transformative it ends up really tempting to use all over the place. And yeah itâs pretty distinctive and can standout if youâre not careful
if it sounds good it sounds good
it would be great to see auto-follow pages in grid mode for future updates.
Itâs very annoying that you have to press Page button for every next page to observe whats going on(
DT2 seems like it would be good for making ambient, like with snippets of field recordings and odd soundsâŚ
Can anyone substantiate?
DT1 was already very good at it, so 2 will be even better.
can somebody recommend a nice video for the digitakt 2 comb filter in sound design. i think iâm not completely getting it or using it on the wrong material

Just bought. Nice compliment to the DNII pack you also made.
With its 16 stereo tracks and 3 lfoâs per track itâs more than i need for my ambient creations. The fx could be more versatile but thatâs not a problem for me.
Awesome post some stuff!
