I use Elektron Gear as arranging boxes. So, it’s rather unconventional when I look at the majority of videos on social media. I’ve just added the Digitakt 2 to my setup, and it’s already contributing to my first project. I’m looking forward to future projects where the DTII can play a major role.
Well that’s unfortunate. I guess I’ve been lucky because I’ve contacted support a few times in the past and they have always been quick to respond. I would still recommend anyone with issues contacting them directly, as it has the best chance of reaching them and alerting them of issues.
same here, contacted them last week and they replied later that day
Yep triple concur. Support always responds to my inquiries about issues I’ve encountered.
Does the RK-002 Smart Midi Kable work with DTII as is? I would like to add polyphony to my digitakt 2 but couldn’t find any info online. Thx!
Yes, I’ve used it successfully with RK-002, I happened to use just 4 voice polyphony, but in theory it works with up to 8. The factory single cycle waveforms and wavetables (which scan in Grid mode) sound great polyphonically, and the mod wheel, velocity, and aftertouch mods are great to have as well.
Cool thank you. Do you know if it’s possible to configure which tracks are used for the polyphony?
Yes. On DT 2 and all similar, the midi config menu lets you choose which channel each track receives. On RK-002, the default is to send over channels 1-x, where x is the max polyphony, set by midi PC message.
Back on topic, I’ve been really impressed with both the DT 2’s expressive capabilities when used as a synth, and the wealth of new performance tricks that are possible, especially with stereo resampling…
Make a video!
I have to keep ticking this box Everytime. How do I leave it on permanently?
Save a project with all your favorite defaults.
Lock it to avoid overwriting it.
When you start a new project, load this one.
8 voices with aftertouch
Anyone dislike the reverb? I can’t stand it.
I find it serviceable, but not inspiring.
is it much different than the og dt verb?
I can’t tell a difference if there is one, but I also have not A B tested them.
It’s the same afaik
The source material you put through the reverb matters of course but the input filter and feedback shelving filter are very important to get a lush sounding reverb. I personally really like it actually. But sometimes it takes a bit of of tweaking to find the sweet spot.
not so bad, I like the dt’s verb
What are your go-to settings for the reverb?
