How much overlap do you think there is between this and the Cascadia?

The specs on VCO1 and VCO2 seem to match Cascadia, but Cascadia’s filter has more modes.

yeah it’s kind of like half of Cascadia; just the core sound generating part. Cascadia has another envelope and filter, S/H, midi to CV conversion, pedal I/O, mixing/multing/clock division, ring mod, wave folding, etc… Atlantix looks great but if you have Cascadia you’re not missing anything it offers I don’t think.

I would so love this for either my monster case or as main voice in my 7u case. Pair with a good sequencer and complex modular drum voice and nirvana.

Hot damn. I like the sound of this thing.

And I am not even into Eurorack …

Really nice sounds in the Intellijel product demo.

Ring mod is on the expander. The lack of wavefolding is a major omission, I think. As an update to Atlantis, this makes a lot of sense. But I question the need to cram all of this into a single large Eurorack module in the first place. I’m not the target audience, I guess. I’m sure those who get it will be happy.

Almost bought a 2nd Atlantis a few weeks ago. Glad I resisted!

me too, there was one in stock at B&h photo but i came to my senses

will be nice to see if more pop up now, but my gut feeling is that most will not sell the original. It’s a bit more pure to the SH-101 architecture

I had one in my cart atB&H too! I think they must have had a few.
I’m definitely not selling my original but I am looking forward to combo Atalantian jams!

I saw this one too and kept it to myself. Glad I didn’t pull the trigger. I did, however, order a Syntakt. Apples and oranges but that’ll be my big purchase with gear sale profits. <3

I’m sure I could approximate what I love about the Atlantis with my Dixie II+/Rubicon/Bifold, VCO 1U, Polaris, Tangrams etc.

gotcha. I admittedly only casually looked at it. not surprised I missed a detail.

This looks great. I wouldn’t bother comparing to Cascadia. They’re very different. Cascadia has a second envelope (which can do loads of crazy stuff) and multiple dedicated LFOs. Plus all the utilities, the wave folder, the second filter, the effects loop, midi, etc.

Basically I would say this is a fantastic synth voice. Cascadia is a fully featured 6U system in a small format. Not comparable.

No, really, it is a curious place for it. Also everyone seems to be missing the lack of wavefolding, which I think is significant. Intellijel Bifold is great (I have one) but it is another 8hp and $250.

You can compare overlap though. Feature wise. I dont think there’s any features the Atlantix has that the cascades does not.

I definitely fall into that group that will be getting this and not selling my original Atlantis.

With other building blocks in my modular, like wave folders, lpg’s, plenty of modulation, this makes more sense to me than the Cascadia. I need to wait until August to purchase, but it get this and the expander at the same time.
