Installing sound packs: Transfer is c6?

Hi,
In this manual (sorry for horendous googlified link) https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwi7mIaS--juAhWBUxUIHR9rBRMQFjAAegQIAhAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.elektronauts.com%2Fuploads%2Fshort-url%2F6mHcaOIxehkQAGqG9NEmGZYLBYk.pdf&usg=AOvVaw2WvC0mmbAQnyUPeq4ybNQV

The section on A4mkii says to use c6 to transfer sysex files. I can’t find c6 to download. I do have Elektron Transfer (that I used to update the OS on the a4mkii) is that what I use for transfering soundpacks on the a4mkii on MacOS 10.5+? Does the Elektron manual need updating?

Cheers
Russell

Hey, Sorry for the post, BUT since I might have found the answer just now, I’m posting for posterity

In https://www.elektron.se/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Elektron-Transfer-1.2.2-Release-Information.html it says “All current Elektron devices can be upgraded using Transfer. For users who are running Mac OS Catalina this solves the absence of C6.”

But does that mean sound packs can also be installed this way?

Cheers again

I can’t answer your question re Transfer, but you can also use this for sysex stuff on osx snoize: SysEx Librarian

Thanks!

I just managed to transfer a soundpack to my a4mkii using transfer (maybe? It still says writing data 5 minutes later!) But I couldn’t transfer my own project as back up to my mac using Transfer. I’ll give Snoize a turn.

Cheers

C6 can use turbo midi, which is 10x faster (transfer should use TM too), you can still download C6 here:

I don’t use Mac but it works fine on windows.
