I’m a sucker for those filter intros so you had me straightaway Great sample selection. Are you mostly playing around / LFOing(?) the sample start or what’s actually going on to glitch it up? With perhaps a bit more structure to the tweaking it could be a wee banger
(that was about the first vid btw)
Really nice sound design in the Scream one… I think I’d learn a lot attempting a challenge like that one
Pretty much LFO on volume, bit of filtering, timestretch, and of course slices and crossfader.
holy fuck, how did I miss that! Amazing!
I remember that @pselodux had some great OT videos on their YT channel
thanks for linking My stuff isn’t nearly as impressive as some other recent mangling, but I’m working on a few new techniques…
I’d say 99% of the videos i’ve seen on the OT have been inspiring mangling videos. That learning curve has a way of keeping people who are unsure, off camera.
.
That guy
Surprised no one posted this one.
Another good one…
would be great to have a special challenge just between @sezare56 and @defenestration
Yes, but before I’d need his advices for muscles.
This guys would make a great motivational speaker / drill sargent or gym coach…SMASH THE BUTTONS! TURN THE KNOBS, TURN THEM…!! Im not even in front of an elektron device but reached out and air tweeked as per instruction.
Joke apart, the amount of tips and tricks and teaching i got from both of you guys is priceless @sezare56 @defenestration … Thank you and thank you a zillion times ! If you happen to pass by Helsinki, Cognac is on me
I watched that comb filter tutorial linked above and assumed Noam Chomsky had got into music production. Then I clicked on another of his and he’s actually a young dude in a singlet
Very knowledgeable guy and explains very clearly. Though I watched his RYTM Vs Machinedrum clip and now I’m questioning my life choices
Let’s start a campaign for him and Ned Rush to record something together
Top notch beat-mangling in that 2nd one
Anyone doing anything a bit more subtle and tonal, like knobs?
Hmm, wondering about the Ned Rush one. He first mashes Slot trigs, then slice trigs… And they don’t overwrite each other? Can the trig modes be used to layer locks on top of each other (well it damn well seems so) :-o
And they don’t overwrite each other?
Correct, but they both will add trigs as well as either sample or slice locks.
