So this is driving me crazy. Trying to get the gain levels so that it is 1:1 on from an external synth into the Digitone. Setting the volume inputs at 100 sounds incredibly too loud and possibly clipping/saturating and introducing a high noise floor. What levels do you all set you input levels to achieve a good 1:1 level ratio. Any help and advice is much appreciated.
Theres really no trick to it. If Sh32 sounds good at max volume, set it so and bring it into DN, adjust its LR input levels to match init patch loudness on the Digitone. If output is too hot for DN input and you hear distortion even when LR is low, bring down Sh32, boost LR.
Once you are happy with the balance between Sh32 and Digitone, do the same with the DN to DT connection. Master volume on Digitone to around max, then bring up LR on Digitakt to match its internal volume. (from now on use Digitakt master volume to controll all volume, dont touch master on other devices once you balanced them)
Regarding numbers - i usually hover around 15 LR volume, and try not to go over 35 to not have amp noise. Good luck, and be careful with headphones/speakers
