Im looking to hook up my digitkt as master cycles as slave

just really need clock sync. iv seem to do something wrong it can’t be that difficult

What have you tried so far?

i did out from digitkt to in in cycles digitk i sent out to everything and to in. cloc turned on in setting on cycles . and it didnt work

Here’s a checklist of what you need to do.

Physical connections:
Connect MIDI Out of Digitakt to MIDI In of M:C using a working MIDI cable and adaptor.

On the DT:
In the SETTINGS > MIDI CONFIG > SYNC menu,

  • activate CLOCK SEND and TRANSPORT SEND.

In the SETTINGS > MIDI CONFIG > PORT CONFIG menu,

  • set OUT PORT FUNC to “MIDI”,
  • set OUTPUT To to “MIDI”.

On the M:C:
In the CONFIG > MIDI > SYNC menu, set CLK IN to ON.
In the CONFIG > MIDI > PORTS menu, set INP FROM to “MID”.

This should work. Give it a try and report back.

thank you i was thinking of making a video called midi for morons
that was my whole idea this week to shoot a video talking about a step by step process so i can show others who have had midi Anxiety. to my defense this is something i didn’t figure out until last night out of 5 midi cables 1 of them worked so these past few years iv been building up bad feeling s toward anything midi not knowing it was broken equipment . iv been midiing korg electribes together for years and never had a problem . until i started adding electrons and other machines in the mix me thinking this whole time midi changed i couldn’t get any of my old gear to work . but thank you very much for everything. so if you see anything about midi for morons ill promote you guys with links to what you do if you email them to me . i didn’t realize you get yelled at on these boards for posting links . i got flagged a few time last night . i felt like the Pariah of the internet . thank you for your time

lol i really cant believe iv been trying to us broken midi cables this whole time…this changes how iv been feeling about midi past few years so weird that that actually happened to me lol
