I wonder if it's portable

It would be crazy dope if this thing used an adapter AND had a lithium battery for portability.

seems doubtful

I doubt it, but if you can find a 12V laptop battery capable of outputting the machine’s amperage requirements you’re good to go

I have this for when I travel:
http://www.amazon.com/20000mAh-Ultra-High-Multi-Voltage-Notebooks-Compatible/dp/B00B45EOYS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390338845&sr=8-2&keywords=20%2C000mA+battery

It outputs 12V and comes with a buttload of connectors, and is meant to power laptops off it’s DC output. If I’m reading the blurry pic right, the A4 power supply outputs 12V DC and 2.5A. That Anker Pro2 outputs 4A when set to 12V (which is fine, DC won’t take more than it needs). It’s about the size of a 7" tablet and ruggedly built.

Anker is a good company in my experience. I’ve never had a problem with their batteries despite the inexpensive nature, and they’re well-liked in the Android community for replacement batteries.

I’d of course wait for an official announcement from Elektron on the full specs of the AR to be sure it uses the same power supply as the A4.

So Happy to report that I just received my RavPower Xtreme 23000mAh and it totally works with the Analog RYTM !

Ordered it in Canada with free shipping from amazon and it arrived in only a few days. Here’s the link:

Likely they are less expensive from amazon.com in the US.

Cheers,
Walter

Nice!
Let us know how many hours of play time you get with it on a full charge.

I bought myself a Ravpower Extreme (23000mAh/85Wh) as well from Amazon Germany:

It gives me 6-7 hours of use on a full charge when I run the Analog RYTM alone.

It can power your smartphone, tablet and drummachine at the same time.
And it can deliver different voltages (9, 12, 16,19, 20v at 4.5A max) so it can be used in several different situations

So probably this one will work?

Seems like a great investment to bring anywhere!

Cheers!!

Each car or motorcycle battery does 12 V output. A motorcycle battery goes for 15 Euros including the acid and charger

Hi!

I will buy this! Do you know if this also will work with the OT?

Thanks for the tip!!

Just got a RAVPower 23000mAh from amazon.com.
It is amazing.
I really enjoyed playing Analog RYTM on a plane.
Thank you guys.

Will work on the OT as well. However the OT does not run on 12 V. You need to set the current to 6V which is very easy. You can either build it yourself or buy a step down converter off Ebay. They are less than an Euro

how long was the flight? and how long was the AR on ? cudos for first AR reported on airplance picture!!!

I’ve been using a portable battery (Tekkeon 3450i) with my MM for a couple of years now, and it’s been fantastic, not only to leave the house, but even to just move about the house without having to take the power adapter with me.

I’ve also used this same battery with my AR, and it works just as well, albeit, not as long.

Sadly, this battery is no longer available. I found mine for a steal via ebay a while back.

I’m now about the buy a RAVPower 2300 so that I can take both of my elektrons out of the studio and use them in unison. Looks like it can only power the big brothers (AR/A4).

Oh man that pic makes me inappropriately excited haha.
I would also love to know how long the battery lasted?

Battery charge status indicator went from 80% to 49% after a couple of hours of operation. I guess it can drive Analog RYTM around 6 hours. I will report again if I have chance to do an endurance test.

It was only a few hours flight and I played Analog RYTM about 2-3 hours. It consumed about 1/3 of battery capacity so I guess it can operate about 6 hours or so?
