That’s a WiFi antenna which is currently serving no purpose. Contact Elektron support for a parts replacement query. You could probably find a replacement yourself (it’s a Pulse/Larsen W3315B dual-band antenna) but they are usually sold in bulk as a cheap part. The user replacement is pretty straightforward because the wire connects to the WiFi card on the mainboard over a mini RF connector you can pop in and out. I.e. you just connect a single wire, no soldering required.
You’re advocating the best solution, however, given that it’s just a pulled trace it would be relatively easy to repair this assuming the cables on the board have not been damaged … those should have bare ends or be relatively easy to strip and re-attach to the ‘removable’ (damaged) panel shown above … the antenna obviously helps, but may not actually stop the ‘potential’ functionality so given the feature isn’t implemented it’s probably not worth too much worry
@ShihKian i’ll rename the topic from I broke my tonverk to I damaged the antenna in my tonverk on the assumption it works just as well as it was able to before the ‘intervention’ … get some advice from elektron and explore a manual fix if they suggest it would be an option - or source the plastic antenna panel with the cables attached directly from them if it bothers you, you should ensure the ends of the antenna cables are individually taped up so they don’t accidentally connect/short internally
Thank you very much. Please forgive my poor English. The change of this title is very correct. I completely agree with @ dzyndzel’s approach. I have already wrapped the exposed part with tape, and I have also sent an email to Elektron, waiting for them to give me more advice.
