Figured I’d share something I recorded last night. Just a quick jam with the Machinedrum MK2 UW, trying to be somewhat in the style of hypnotic techno artists like Donato Dozzy, Cio D’Or etc.
All the drums are Machinedrum machines, the other sounds are samples from iPad synths but they have been changed beyond recognition using the MD’s capabilities (retrig, SRR etc) 
. I recorded it live, using mutes and a CTRL-8P machine to have all the parameters I wanted to change over the duration on one screen.
Nothing special, but I want to get into the habit of recording and sharing stuff, and might be interesting if you are into this kind of techno and are wondering if the Machinedrum can do it! (it definitely can, the thing I find is that you have to find sweet spots - some machines sound like crap until you tweak a certain parameter a certain way! Also, the sampling workflow is a bit long winded with all the save to ROM malarkey, but it’s good fun nonetheless).
