Bloody hell, glad I picked up my Explorer when I did.
Shame they’ve had to increase the prices but everything else is going up, sadly.

I am a little sad about the rise of the price of HS because to me it was the best synth in the market. IMHO it really is at the same level of the best poly of the market (Arturia, Udo, Prophet, Yamaha) but it was significantly cheaper.
Those price increases are insane.
Some retailers still have them at the old prices, if you are on the fence, the time is now I guess.
That’s quite the increase, yikes!
Yeah even the RRP originally was nowhere near what I paid for mine.
As said above though, if they’re in your radar then now is the time to grab one.
Looks like I got a real bargain on the orange one last month.
Edit: for those unsure, the hype is real, it really is one hell of a synth.
Wild. It’s now than double what I paid for my keyboard a few years back!
Woof. Does the explorer have support for custom scala? Thinking hard about acting quick…
Incredible. Thank you so much
AFAIK (Edit : concerning sound control and synthesis) Explorer has everything in common except CV MOD IN and ribbon controller. (Its pitch bend and Modulation wheel are ribbons btw).
The price hike made me get off the fence with the Explorer.
Pretty intense jump on the regular keyboard. I may have to sell it for a move so I can hopefully recoup the cost thanks to this. It was radically cheap before, now it’s at feature/price parity perhaps.
I don’t think so.
How did you mount Digiton/Heat to rack?
Question for folks who have put time in with both the HSK and the HSE. How does the keybed of the explorer compare to that of the HSK? Obviously there’s a size difference but aside from that does it feel as nice to play? Are the mini keys as nice as something like a Reface?
I need to reduce my gear footprint and my HSK will almost certainly be on the chopping block, as wonderful as it is.
Here is my experience: 2024 Gear Purchase Hits and Misses - #234 by Holon
HSE is comparable to a Keystep. HSK has very few rivals, it’s one of the best and cheapest keybeds with per key after touch and it feels like any well made midi keyboard.
Thanks. That’s kind of what I was afraid of. To be completely honest the HSK doesn’t have my all time number one favorite keybed (feel/ action wise) but it’s damn good and I’ll really miss the PAT.
It’s fine, not shamed by others in its class. AT per key is rare so that is a feather in HSK’s hat but you need to be looking for it. Consider the size of the HSK too.
I don’t own the Explorer, but on keybed feature comparison it is important to note the Explorer and the Deluxe both have Note OFF Velocity ( AKA Release Velocity – great for the after effects on a note ) while the HSK does not.
Here’s a video from Daniel Fisher demonstrating its use on the Deluxe.
