That’s what it is. What’s the deal with that ?
I didn’t spot anything obviously dangerous.

Added – Looking at the REAL web-site and eyeing the merch. This is an interesting thing to say :
The shirt is 100% ring spun cotton, sustainably grown and ethically harvested in the USA.
I get it.
Sadly it’s out of stock.
Explorer choice ?
How hot have to be audio signal ?
I sold my Explorer for that and extra encoders, I am waiting for a Linnstrument as good mpe controller.
I liked keys, similar to Minifreak (no poly touch on MF) I didn’t really enjoy poly touch.
Anyway I will have to wait, Digitone 2 shipping…
New ASM product coming ? ![]()
Is it possible to use one of the oscillators as a modulation source? On the desktop version there’s pitch and mod outs, can they be routed back in to the mod inputs? I’d like to use some of the complex waveforms pitched down to mod things
Sure but there is a problem with your construction. The Mod Outs 1 & 2 are Mod Matrix Destinations, and so run at the Source speeds.
But Mod In 1 & 2 can run at audio rates, and so you can feedback the audio output from the main output to those, but it only makes sense going to the special sources driving the Ring Mod and the FM Mutator ( foggy – and something else ? ).
Not sure what happens if you send slow CV rate input as if audio into an FM Mutator, or something. An experiment for later.
So useful but not the full blown anything to anything internal audio patching, like it’s a modular synth.
I’ve spent some time setting up DT2 to control the arp of my explorer and I have some success but it’s also weird. I used the mod matrix to set up incoming midi CC and that seems to work fine except for CC 120 (octave) and 122 (length) which aren’t available in the DT2.
I was also confused that CC 108 (mode) won’t let me access the two lowest settings, up and down, unless I turn the amount negative which seems weird.
Has anyone had these issues?
I’m wondering if someone could help me figure out how to get a sound. This should cue up to 1:42ish -
There’s a sound that comes in here with delay or maybe tremolo in which, after the first note, the repeats come back an octave higher. Thoughts on how to create this effect?
resonance, drive and bit reduction?
I get the implication from the question mark that this should be obvious, but I’m pretty inexperienced with sound design. How would you apply these? I tried a one shot LFO modulating the pitch an octave which sort of worked but sounded off. Can you be more explicit?
The desktop version arrived and the first impression is strong like! I’m sending back the explorer. There is nothing wrong with the explorer and it is probably the most bang for buck you can find. Don’t get me wrong here, the keys are just as good as a keystep plus polytouch, but I don’t like the short keys enough to actually play musically so that was not necessary for me. The hydra desktop is sturdier and I’m guessing I’ll have to do 20-40% less menu diving with the extra screens. I found one that had been returned by a previous customer so I paid less and got to avoid that nasty ammonia smell…
It fits. Not the fanciest keyboard out there but it does see a lot of use. Here are the stands.
You should be able to assign any CC between 1-119 to arp parameters…
Sure, but the arp params range beyond 119, right?
In the Matrix, any CC can be mapped to any parameter, whatever the HS MIDI implementation chart is.
So ? This is MIDI IMPLEMENTATION if you want to control HS directly with CCs without the Matrix.
Just map a CC to ARP/OCTAVE parameter and forget MIDI IMPLEMENTATION.
I applaud your intent. I use MIDI.
Wow. I am not talking about embroidery ! ![]()
MIDI CCs can be a source in Matrix. Set any CC with Digitakt, its midi out plugged to HS in; assign that CC to arp/octave parameter in the Matrix. What part don’t you understand?
Cut the condescending tone out entirely. There really is no other acceptable option even if you feel bad.
