First time I‘m tempted to buy the great Bootleggers… the Pro-800 sounds wonderful (judging from demos) and the price is indeed incredible…fuckers lol

SP-404 Mk2 on sale for $499, possibly less at various shops. Some non-Amazon links

1200mk7 for ¥109,091 / USD 780. In the Premium Audio section of BEST Denki in Fukuoka, so I imagine this is the usual Japan price. Foreigners can buy duty free, but IDK what shipping costs.

Sweetwater is selling these for USD 1099, so this is a pretty good deal if you plan to travel to or through Japan and don’t mind figuring out shipping.

I’m considering the TR-06 for my Behringer TD3. Question: how does it handle mono input? It looks to be a stereo input. I wonder if it will have the same issue the AR MK1 has where you only get a mono input on the left channel.

Here you go!

I screwed up and confused this with the Tr6s which I purchased on amazon for under $300. So I am not sure how it handles mono but the 6s has a mono output on the left channel, so I am guessing this is the same i/o.

I really wish Roland would publish spec/flow charts. It seems that is no longer as standard as it used to be (even with other manufacturers).
I always seem to have a specific question about a piece of gear that the manufacturer decided not to address in the manual.

IDK, but you could use a passive splitter to turn mono into stereo and add gain at the TR-06 input or use a small powered mixer like one of the Moukeys that can do mono to stereo and gain. See thread below for detailed discussion. TL;DR: cheap & good. You probably don’t need the big one for your application.

Also worth considering the RD-6 if you just want the drums & basic sequencer for cheap. The TR-06 should have a much better sequencer and probably more drum editing options. (Also consider the 6s, which is all of the TR series in one box)

The 8s and I assume 6s manual includes a detailed signal flow schematic, too bad the Boutiques are so light on documentation.

Woops

I thought I was within the rules?
No reverb posts of personal gear?

The sequencer and effects really caught my eye.
As for the mixer and such, I tend to build small travel cases for all my gear and I actually have one already for my “in progress” acid box. The splitter might be an option but the mixer is not. The Korg Drumlogue was my OG choice but the price and fx/sequencer of the TR06 seems like a good fit…not too mention a 303 clone and a 606 clone would go better together vs the Drumlogue.

Yeah, it has a stereo input, but you can just use a stereo cable from the headphone output of the td-3 to the input. Super fun & immediate combo for instant acid gratification.

As a bonus, you can also record all tracks separately via USB into a computer, which is handy.
